The British Basketball League Secures Multi-Year Deal With IMG Arena

The growth of the British Basketball league going into the 2022/2023 season continues, as the BBL have secured a multi-year deal with the leading sports data business for betting, media and professional sectors, IMG Arena.

The impact of this deal will see IMG cover all of the BBL's domestic competitions, as they will capture and deliver 'FastPath' data from over 214 games per season via their vast global network of 460 sportsbook operators, distributing live game streams for multiple betting platforms.

As well as this, IMG will also be assisting Miami-based firm 777 Partners, who placed a £7 million investment in the BBL not long ago, in their growth strategy for the league, with aims to help it expand to potential new fans in Europe and across the world.

“BBL has a stated mission to grow basketball and its following in the UK and beyond," said Andy Webb, Chief Operating Officer at the British Basketball League. "Working with IMG ARENA helps us to do this by maximising returns from an important commercial asset while also widening BBL’s audience and fan engagement.”

The league becomes part of a very impressive portfolio for IMG, who's headquarters are based in London. They have worked with the likes of the Euroleague, MLS, PGA Tour, the UFC and more.
