The British Basketball All Star Games Are Back

The British Basketball All Star Games Are Back

British Basketball has seen it's fair share of high-level players come and go, some that have given clubs once in a lifetime moments that they'll never forget. Whether that be a game-winning shot, a trademark game or a historic run that cemented that club's name in history, players have accomplished feats that in one way or another deserve to praised.

Across the globe, we've seen basketball do this in many different ways. Jersey retirements and the Hall Of Fame acknowledge a player's greatness after the fact, but All Star games not only give players their flowers during their careers but also provide fans with an opportunity to witness more unforgettable on-court moments. It's been a while since British Basketball has done this, but finally, this season, the All Star games are returning this season.

The games will follow a familiar format made famous by the NBA. However, rather than taking place over the course of an entire weekend, this year's festivities will take place on one day, starting with the WBBL All Star Game. This will then be followed by a Slam-Dunk Contest, a 3-Point Contest, the BBL All Star Game AND to top it all off, the presentation of the first-ever inductees to the British Basketball Hall Of Fame.

The format for the All Star Games will see players representing the North or the South, depending on the location of their club. The starting fives were announced earlier this week. Check out the full list below.
