The Nottingham Academy Wildcats took home the 3x3 National Title on the WEABL side in the inaugural tournament that took place at the National Performance centre in Manchester.
The Wildcats finished top of the group after the initial rounds, then went on to face the Manchester Mystics in the quarter finals, where they would come out victorious with a score of 7-1.
This was then followed up by a semifinal matchup against Oaklands College where again, they came out on top in a much higher scoring game; 13-8.
Finally, the finals. They matched up against CoLA who have just come off one of the most remarkable seasons, both in the WEABL and in WNBL D1, winning both titles. Unfortunately for them however, the 3x3 title didn't have their name on it. The Wildcats took on the challenge against the champs and came out on top with a close score of 8-6.
The roster for the Wildcats consisted of Mariam Olawoyin, Praise-Adesuwa Egharevba, Natalie Charity and Dejane Cassanova. Congrats to the entire roster and the Nottingham Academy programme.
