London Lions To Play In French Pre-Season Tournament

London Lions To Head To France For Pre-Season Tournament

The Lions have had a very hectic off-season in regards to signing new players. The addition of Luke Nelson, Ovie Soko, Kosta Koufos, Sam Dekker and more has made the Lions roster a group which many British Basketball fans will expect dominance from, especially domestically.

With all these new additions, time is needed to build team chemistry and a pre-season tournament is a pretty good way to do that. The Lions men will travel to France to compete in the Mincidélice Cup Tournament hosted by fellow EuroCup competitors, JL Bourg.

The Lions' first game will be against the hosts on the 2nd of September (This Friday) and it will also be live and available to watch on LNB TV, France's main source for all their basketball competitions.

This game will be followed up by a matchup against Strasbourg on the 3rd of September, who compete in the Basketball Champions League which by many is regarded as the 3rd tier of European basketball behind that of the Eurocup and the EuroLeague. The Final rounds which will be held on the 4th of September are yet to be announced.

All these matchups will be a good test for the new Lions. Whilst they have kept some of their players from last season such as Isaiah Reese and Kylor Kelley, they have plenty of new faces to integrate as part of a building process that will take time.

Game 1 against JL Bourg will be available to watch here at 7PM UK Time.
