Both London Lions side came out of the Copper Box with two wins in their regular season EuroCup match ups, with the men defeating Medi Bayreuth by 10 (91 - 81) and the women defeating Castors Braine in a much closer affair (69 - 63).
These wins for both sides improve their records with the men remaining unbeaten after 3 games and the women improving to a 2-1 record.
Isaiah Reese, the former Santa Cruz Warriors guard (G-league affiliate of the Golden State Warriors) was the standout performer on the men's side finishing with 19 points along with 4 rebounds and 6 assists and 3 steals. Over on the women's side, Azania Stewart led the way with a near double-double in points and rebounds with 10 points and 8 rebounds along with 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots.
With the Lions being the only team from the UK currently competing in European basketball and in that very fact already more than a few moments of history have been made, every win carries that much more significance as the country looks to showcase the level of talent it has and the level of talent it can attract.
