GB's men's basketball side will face Belarus, Turkey and Greece in their FIBA World Cup Qualifiers where the top 3 teams will advance to the second round of qualifiers which will take place from August 2022.

The group matches will take place across three windows:
- 20th - 30th November 2021
- 21st February 2022 - 1st March 2022
- 27th June 2022 - 5th July 2022.
GB's entry into these qualifying matches follows their successful qualification for the Eurobasket 2022 Finals and will hope to follow that up by advancing through to the next phase of these World Cup Qualifiers.
With the top 3/4 teams advancing, this is most definitely an achievable feat. They will have their hands full with Turkey and Greece most certainly, ranked 16th and 10th in the world rankings respectfully. A win against either of those sides will most definitely boost GB's chances of advancing.
