The prestigious National Basketball Performance Centre played host to the WEABL and EABL championship matchups which saw CoLA take on Nottingham for the WEABL title and Charnwood take on Myerscough.
CoLA added another championship banner to their collection as they took home the WEABL title after knocking off Nottingham, 71-49 which topped off a perfect season for Coach Jackson Gibbons' side as they finished with an undefeated record.
Emilie Black was crowned as MVP as she finished with 21 points on an efficient 9/11 shooting, with four boards and four dimes. Isi Ozzy-Momodu also contributed with another double-double; 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Charnwood faced off against Myerscough on the men's side and it was the team from Leicester that came out on top winning 83-74, giving Charnwood their 3rd ever EABL title. The MVP of this one was Victor Ndoukou who has a monster performance. He finished with 30 points along with 11 big rebounds to lead Charnwood to victory.
“It’s amazing,” Ndoukou told Hoopsfix after the game. “My teammates, we all deserve it we all fought very hard, first years, second years third years, we all just fought hard, I’m very happy…I’ve never won before, it’s a great feeling.”
