The SLB Sign A New Deal With Reebok

The SLB Sign A Multi-Year Deal With Reebok

The SLB have signed a new deal with major American sportswear Reebok ahead of their first official season as the UK's top flight of professional basketball.

The multi-year partnership will see the American sports brand supply all Super League Basketball teams with game day attire, training kit, travel kit and also basketball sneakers. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase replica kits with the unveiling of all the tea jerseys said to be happening in September.

"This collaboration represents a perfect synergy between Reebok's storied basketball heritage and the vibrant future of elite basketball in the UK,' said Todd Krinsky, CEO of Reebok.

"We are excited to bring together our innovative designs and high-performance gear to the court, and we can't wait to see the players and fans embrace the new kits this season."

Reebok's storied history in the sport goes back a long way. They've held an important space within basketball culture in the States with iconic releases such as the Reebok 'Shaqnosis', the pair made for Shaquille O'Neal who, along with Allen Iverson, have signature lines with the brand and have gone on to become the President and Vice President of the brand, respectively.

This is the first major endorsement deal that the SLB have signed following their rebrand away from the British Basketball League. Despite the circumstances surrounding the league, this deal with Reebok is a pretty big one. As forementioned, Reebok for a long time have held a significant place within basketball history and whilst they haven't had the same impact that they had back in the 90s/early 2000s, their name holds a significant amount of weight and also having two Hall Of Fame players within their back office, spells a lot of great potential for the SLB going forward.
