Mike Tuck Announces His Retirement

Mike Tuck has officially announced his retirement from the game after spending 13 years in the British Basketball League with the Sheffield Sharks.

Over the span of his career with the Sharks, Tuck was an integral part to the success of the club. In his 500 appearances, he only missed 13 games in his entire British Basketball League career and also became the club's leading scorer with a tally of 4297 passing up Todd Cauthorn.

The Toronto native won 2 BBL Cups in the 09-10 season and the 10-11 season. As well as that, he added the 2012/2013 BBL Trophy and the BBL Play-off Finals title in 2015/2016 where he would also win the Most Valuable Player Award for his 20 point, 13 rebound and 4 assist performance.

In recent years, Tuck has been a part of the Sky Sports Analysis team on British Basketball League game days and although he will be stepping off the hardwood, he'll continue to be a Shark as he steps into a role as the club's Marketing Manager.

His long and loyal career is one that'll go down in the history books of British Basketball as one of the greatest. Since his first ever bucket for the Sharks on December 5th 2009 up until his last game, Tuck remained an important part of not just the Sheffield Sharks' success, but also of British Basketball in general.
